The company has been managing a long-lasting association with some of the largest organizations in India and MNCs with personalized and professional services. Express Cargo Movers have offices at various locations in India and each office is housed with a team of 125 highly trained professionals who help their customers with the stringent statutory and administrative needs of excise, customs, and other government agencies involved in import and export activities.
Objective
In order to manage all the shipment-related documents, the client was using a Windows-based software called “Visual Impex.” They reached us with a requirement to develop a web-based document management system to streamline all of their shipment activities.

Experts at KCS analyzed the client’s previous system, requirements and found that a client was facing the below-listed challenges:
- The client was unable to export or import important documents from and into the system
- The non-existing of report generation feature was creating difficulty for the client to make any critical decision concerning the business
- There was no third-party integration in the system for accounting purposes
- It was a time-consuming activity for the client to work with ICE integration
- The client was facing difficulty to improve the customer experience as the system was holding some complexities, bugs, and errors
Solution
After analyzing the client’s requirement in-depth, KCS experts have provided the following solutions:
- In the document section, users can create a cycle for shipment and fill in all the invoice details for the shipment. This cycle is then integrated with the ICE Gate Client and Debtor portal
- ICE section provides the guideline to the users in case a document or file is missing in their shipment
- The client is now able to perform all the accounting-related activities without switching the tab due to the integration with third-party software
- KCS experts have increased the overall performance of the system, thus a client can now equally contribute to other business activities
